Human beings are known to be colored blind but I'm not sure if this is something that also applies to animals like dogs and cats that will keep at pets.
What are your thoughts about our pets like dogs and cats being colour blind? Do you think that it's something applicable to animals too?
I have read before that dogs and cats have limited colour vision, not entirely color blind but their colour perception differs from humans. Dogs have dichromatic vision which make them see things in shades of yellow, blue and gray and they can't differentiate between red and green. Cats also have dichromatic vision but their colour range is mostly blue and yellows.
I don't believe cats and dogs are colour-blind but I do know they can only see certain colours and they can only see shades of blue, yellow and grey. They also can only see a range of 10,000 shades of those colours too.

I think that's colour blindness if I'm not mistaken. When dogs and cats can't see all colours except specific ones, I will tell it's colour blind. I might be wrong though.
