I know having a dog isn’t easy. With all these needs and factors to consider when you plan to have a dog in the family. Eversince then i wanted to take care of dogs, but currently i have a two year old daughter. Is there anything else to consider aside from its basic needs when you have a toddler at home? Surely dogs are gonna be part of the family, so are there important factors to be noted when having a dog and a child on a household?
You have to know that having a dog is like having another child. He will need your attention, he will need his daily walks, he will do a little bit damage around the house like chewing your slippers or play with the furniture, even doing his needs around the house when he is a puppy. A dog is also attracted to children, so you need to be careful when you let him near your daughter. He means no harm but accidents can happen. You can make it work though, spending the right amount of time with him, he will get used to your way of living and he will become a trustworthy member of your family. A bonus is that your daughter will have a best friend to play with everytime, it will teach her about responsability and love, I think, it would be a great addition to your family to have a dog.
prioritize their needs
Try to consider some of these factors before having a dog.
a) A proper place for your dog where he can stay comfortably and without destroying any of your home furnishing.
b) Enough knowledge about the kind of dog breed your having. The one that suit you and your family.
c) Ample time to attend to your daily dog needs.
d)Funds to support your dogs chow and veterinarian needs.
e) Think of the benefits of having a dog, like better health, less depression and social life improvement.
What i know is that growing up with a dog in your family can actually benefit your children physical and psychological development at any means. A dog is an absolutely complete friend, and a very good protecter for children. A dog suits my lifestyle because I have outdoor spaces in my home. The important thing is that you have to training your dog for the new normal before the baby arrives can make the entire family get on easier and better. You just have to prepare your pet for your new baby's arrival and you are good to go only if you discover your baby has no allergies.
There's not much really factors to consider when you are having a dog and a child in your family. You just have to make sure that you have the right breed of dog that suits your family. The dog has to be trained on how to act if there is a baby around. Another thing is you also need to prioritize your dog needs, the dog can be jealous, remember, it has feelings too. Lastly, dogs will give you great memories, dogs are a bunch of love, this will help the family to cope up with stress, as well as with the child, this will help her to have a friend.
When you are about to adopt a dog especially puppies, make sure to prepare yourself from their noise during the night. Of course, since it is their first day, they cry a lot and find it hard to adjust to their new environment.
You should also consider their food. You need to allot your budget for dog foods. You should be keen to the nutritional value of dogs' food. The nutrients should be fit with the age of your dog as well. Determine how much food they can eat as time goes by, for you to adequately serve them the right amount of food.
You should also have to have time playing with them. Even though you are busy at work you should at least play and have quality time with them. It is you who have adopted the dog, so learn to have the commitment.
You should consider cleaning poop always. That is one of the problem I encounter first when I have a dog. That time it so hard to train my dog to poop outside
Hi. It's always such a nice thing to incorporate pets and treat them as part of the family. However, before you embark into adopting a dog or a puppy, consider their life long wellness too just how you would consider your children's. Their location within the premises of your house, their hygiene, their food, who will take them out for a walk? And how your entire family can take turns in taking care of them. Things like these are the ones you should consider.
Having pets and your toddler may seem like a handful but if planned carefully and considerably, I don't see anything wrong with adding furry family members.
I think first of all is the time. You should have time for them, You should have time for a walk with your dog everyday, time to play, and to talk to them. Second is space, we should consider our neighborhood also specially when they bark at night. And be responsible enough to love them, and understand them, we should always check them. specially when they're not feeling well.
You should test your child if he has allergies to the hair dog, I tested my son and he has allergies to the hair dog. Still, we bought him a dog but we keep him outside the house and my son contact with my dog is very little.
You must think well, a dog is a big responsability, you must walk him, give him good food from the pet store, buying him vitamins and toys, and the most important thing is to show him, love!

Having a dog is a responsibility. One should consider the amount of time you have to give for the dog's behalf. Feeding, bathing, check-up's , and grooming are some of the responsibility of the owner. At the end of the day, you will indulge in unconditional love, respect and relief. Dogs may give you a busy day, but it's all worth it.....
The most important thing to consider before planning to adopt a pet dog is your commitment. It may look simple but in reality, it's a big responsibility to keep a pet with you especially dogs who need special treatment and care. It's like committing to a relationship that needs your time, attention and seriousness. In your case, having a child at home means you'll be having two responsibility. You just need to make it sure your baby is not allergic to dog fleece or suffering asthma.Another thing is the behaviour of dog you are planning to adopt. There are some aggressive dogs and might tend to hurt someone especially to a newly adopted dog that is adjusting to the new environment. So just be careful on that.
Time, Effort, and Place. If you don't have time to feed, bathe, and care for them; you shouldn't pet a dog or any animals because they deserve more if you don't have any time for them. Also I consider the effort because you should walk and jog with them for them to exercise their body as well as yours. Lastly, place is the one of the most important thing to consider because you can't pet a dog when you don't have enough place to pet for. You will just end up on giving up on them or bringing them to another new owner.
