What kind of rug do you use when the dog comes in from outside? Does it do a good job of cleaning the paws or do you have to use a towel as well?
My dog had fur that the snow would stick to and even a towel wouldn't melt it off, so we always had water all over the floor from her.

I have a grey paw cleaning mat that I purchased from Amazon which my dogs usually clean their paws on. It's not that expensive. It was $29 when I purchased it some years ago. They have blue and dark brown colours.

It's not only because of dogs that one should have a rug for wiping paws. Outdoor rug is very important especially when you go out your house very often. You need to wipe your feet before stepping into the house.
