Pets have a special way of dotting on their owners and dogs are great with it. They can love their owners so much that they would be eager to jump into the fire for them.
There was this incident which I witnessed lately whereby a dog refused to walk where the owner was taking it to. It was a little stream but the dog refused to follow the owner no matter how hard he tried to the dog.
This led me to asking this question if one's dog can distrust them not to do what they want the dog to do?
I think the reason why the dog disobey his owner is that when the owner show some reward, then after the dog obey its owner then it didn't get the reward it will make the dog felt disappointment. And the dog feels untrustworthy to his owner. And maybe the dog didn't obey his owner because the dog is already tired, or because his not feeling well, or maybe the dog is tired of too much activities that they did. We should also put ourselves in the situation of our dog. Just like us they also get tired, and sometimes not feeling well.
Yes, my dog trusts me, I have seen this when I commanded him to jump in the water after a ball, this happened this winter. Even the water was very cold he didn't turn until he catches that ball.
I took him immediately and put him in the car to warm up.
Yes of course. he always with me and he loves to walk. but without me, he doesn't feel safe i think, because he doesn't want to go outside and walk alone. He always waited for me before go outside. And if we play together and throw the ball, he always look at me and I think he asking if, am I safe to get the ball? and when I said, hey, go ahead get the ball, and then, he will start to run.
Yes, she does. It's nice to have your dog follow you where you go. I don't have problems with mine since we don't go anywhere that's scary or dangerous.
I think the dog obeys like that when they were tired or when they sense something bad. They are angels I believe my dog is one. Dogs are not man's bestfriends but also man's saviors. I love my dog so much. I think I can't live without her.
When we are going to a far place approximately 2 km from our house. He stop following me and just sitting there. I think my dog don't trust me enough that much. When I tried to leave him he just keep going back to our house. Also I notice that he is scare of other people by avoiding them in sidewalks.
I definitely think our dog does - he's been with us since he was a puppy, and we see him as a valued part of our family! I don't think he knows anything different, since he's always had a good life with us and we've always treated him with love and care. Trust seems to come pretty naturally as a part of that.
I'd like to think so. He is always by my side and show a lot of love. It's nice to think the love and trust are reciprocated.
If your dog doesn't trust you, then something is definitely wrong. You are certainly not safe living with such kind of dog in my opinion because the dog might turn on you at any time and become violent.
When you treat your dogs well, they will definitely trust you and would go to any extent in supporting you. I have seen some video on Facebook where dog's owners would fake drowning and their dogs would jump into the pool to save them.
My dogs trust me very well because I always make sure to take very good care of them which is why they also have a high trust in me not to maltreat them. They are always loyal to me and it's why I love them.
To the best of my knowledge, my dog trust me and I also trust my dog. It's why I would be able to leave my kids at home with him and step out for a minute and he would look after them very well.
Dogs will always trust their owner if their owner shows that they appreciate the fact that they trust them I find. It's not difficult to gain a dog's trust if you take care of them as you should and if you reward them for their behavior. Spending time with your dog is one good way to gain their trust, if they feel loved, wanted, and appreciated they will learn to trust you as an owner. Things like taking them out, leaving them whilst you go into a store, and coming back to get them are one way to gain trust, they will worry at first you may leave them but the more you come back, the more that trust builds.
I adopted/rescued a dog once and it took a while before the dog was able to trust. I understood the whole process of thing and it's why I played a very big role in helping the dog to get used to being with me. I had to feed him often, never stressed him, pet him whenever I can and never shouted at him.
