One thing which my dog have been doing to me for years which I have done almost everything to stop him from doing it but all to no avail is chewing on my TV remote. I have bought a lot of chew toys for him but he's hell bent on chewing on the damn TV remote. I'm thinking of leaving the remote for him and buy a new one for my TV. I hope he doesn't come for the new one when I buy it.

It sounds crazy but I wonder if you could buy a dog's chew toy that is a TV remote? This may be something that may stop him from going after your actual TV remote if he has his own so to speak that would be better for him.

What I would advise in the mean time though is to place any TV remotes you have out of the reach of the dog to prevent him from chewing on it again.

It is how you train your dogs that they are always going to behave which is the reason why I believe the right thing for you to do is to discipline your dog so that it knows what they are doing is not something that is right.

I have never had my dog chew on my remote. They are well trained and I have lots toys bought for them to play with. The toys help them focus on what they are supposed to be playing with.

It's not really their fault because dogs don't know what to do except they were told. Our dog used to chew everything that comes in his way until I started telling and scolding him for doing bad things. He learnt and stopped doing them.

This requires carefulness. You need to scold them in a way that it is not going to be counter productive at all. To achieve that, they need to know the reason they are being disciplined.
