It usually depends if I have any veterinary costs for any of them, but I don't spend more than $80 on food and supplies. They are pretty low maintenance, although the bigger one needs to have eye drops applied every single day so that costs around $20 per month.
I think the highest I ever spent on them was $400 because the little one needed surgery.

It's not my habit to compute for what I spend for my dogs but for the sake of this thread, I would probably say that a yearly expense is a more accurate count. For the grooming, the accessories would amount to maybe $100 for our 3 dogs. For the food, let's say $1,000 in a year. What's difficult to account for is the expenses for the vet. My estimate would be $500 or so. And to be safe, let's say a total of $2,000 in 1 year for our 3 dogs.

Not to brag but I don't scrimp on the expenses for my dog albeit I am willing to spend as long as they get the comfort and convenience including the healthy well-being. Money is not an object when it comes to family, right? And our dogs are part of our family.

Well, let's see I think I spend $20 a week on dog food alone. Grooming and maintenance probably $10 depends if I do it myself or not then there's the issue of his obedience training which cost me $500 for 3 months and other miscellaneous fees. I don't mind about the cost as long as I can still afford it and I know my dogs are being treated well.

The amount that one spends on a dog can only be correctly assessed by those who largely rely on ready made pet supplies especially in the area of pet feed. In our case, we feed our dogs what the rest of the family is eating and this is a form of integration into the family. Our pets know in advance what they are going to feed on. Our dogs are hardy African breeds and other than rabies vaccines, they rarely have other medical emergencies save for deworming sessions and attention to reduce parasite infestations.

My dog has a specific type of food because of some digestive issues, so we pay about twice as much for food as we might otherwise do, probably about £3 a day on food. We have pet insurance, which is about £100 a year and covers him for everything at the vets - we've never had to pay from our own pocket yet but I'm sure there are some circumstances where we would have to pay. I tend to buy him a little stockpile of treats and toys and other essentials once every few months, and a new collar and lead probably once a year (unless I see one I fall in love with in the mean time). Essentially I would say probably about £100 a month, because of the specialist dog food. He's worth it though 🙂

As my income is limited at the moment, I strive to spend as little as possible. I have learned to cut his hair (groom him), his monthly food cost is between $4.00 to $5.00, and his treats are around $2.00 a month. He is a Bichon Frise so his costs run much lower to that of a Great Dane. And I am fortunate that he is healthy so I have not had to incur any vet costs.

I think that it depends on how much you're willing to spend on your dog, some people likes to spend more time in things like toys, clothes and even little shoes. But in my personal experience, I think that I just spend money on buying them dog food, in my country a big bag of them costs about 50 dollars and I think that is just that every month... without counting how much is spend in the water that they are consuming, I guess.

I spend way too much money between my dog and cat. However, my dog is more expensive than my cat. I typically take him to the vet every 3 months or when he isn't feeling well to me. I get him groomed once a month professionally. His food and maintenance is pretty costly since he is a Chow. He gets a new ball seem like evert week since he destroys them all the time :D. I can't say exactly how much money I spend but I know it is a lot!

I haven't really tracked it but I'd say definitely less than $100 per month. It really depends on if she goes to the vet or not. Her food is easily $40 but it's a huge bag and it will last the whole month. She's pretty low maintenance, I do bathe her but a tiny bit of doggy shampoo goes a long way so that bottle can last me quite a while.

My pets' food, medical check ups, and equipment cost more monthly than my rent. But I guess I don't mind, because I love pampering them. They're basically family, the only one I've got, and I don't mind spending a little more extra for them to enjoy themselves. I also take in mind that I can't have them forever, and they only have a short lifespan (20 years, but still), so I always spend time with them and cherish the moments I have with them.

I don't think I spent a lot unless there is a special occasion like an appointment or something. The only thing that is really bought is their food items.

My dogs are pretty expensive because they have long hair which needs to be trimmed regularly, but I justify my care for the dogs because they're like my children

Instead of spending a lot on the take care of your own dog, why don't you run a dog walking business? Recently with the help of few friends, I just started working as a dog walker and earned handsome income because it was becoming tough for me to spend a lot of money on my own single dog. However, I always recommend friends to come to business with right strategies, I also got Dog Walker Insurance from a well-known company as well.

I always have a fat budget for my dog. The least amount of money that my dog's food and medical treatment takes up to $800. Sometimes, it's about $1200. I take very good care of my dog.

I don't usually spend too much on my dog on monthly basis especially when there is nothing like health or emergency situation that is going to require taking them to the veterinary doctor for examination and treatment. It doesn't cost me more than $100 per month to manage them well.
