I am posing this question because I see some dog lovers who are extremely attached to their dogs. I am also like that but just moderate maybe. We treat our dogs like family, in fact they sleep in our bedroom. And we also bring them to trips and joyride in the car. When they get sick, I easily panic and I don't mind the expenses as long as they get well.

But I know of some people who give more to their dogs. There's a room and a nanny for their dogs which have air conditioning and sound system because their dogs are used to sleeping with music, huh. And their food are always special. No, not canned dog food but cooked food like broiled beef and roasted pork or broiled fish. The dog owner said that they always want the best for their dogs so they have that special recipe for their food.

How do you treat your dog?

I would say that we are much like you - we treat our dog like he is a part of the family. Banjo sleeps in our room too (so does our cat!) and we also take our pets on trips with us, so that they're not left alone. If for some reason we had to go on a very long trip where we couldn't bring pets, they stay with my in-laws who pamper them anyway!!

I don't know about having a nanny for my dog - to me that is a bit extreme - but each to their own! I laughed though at people leaving on music for their dog - because sometimes if we are just going to the supermarket for half an hour my husband leaves the TV on for the pets "so they don't get bored!" :p

Dogs are like families, and so are our pet cats. Surprisingly, our two dogs and two cats get along pretty well. It's so much better when you get them together as kittens and puppies, they were simply too young to be suspicious of other other back then and now they have grown to like each other's company. I only have one child so I have so much space in my heart for loving my pets. I take them to vets for regular shots, I feed them foods that are good for them (cats and dogs have vastly different nutritional requirements), I basically love them to bits.

I am very affectionate towards animals and I love dogs in particular because of their obedient mien. I particularly sympathise with their pathetic look I usually feel very sorry when I see someone mistreating dogs. I treat dogs like friends and they reciprocate the same as they are keen to note kind people. We should go out of our way to make their lives comfortable.

I love my dog sooo much! I would spend hundreds or thousands of dollars if needed to keep him happy and give him the best with the perfect diet! He's like family to me and I know he loves me so much too! He's very obedient and i know he would give his life for me...

dog has a very good life. She has earned her place with us by being a wonderful dog, day in and day out. In the earlier years, I was less attached. But the older she gets the more and more I love and care for her. She continues to earn her keep by being so sweet and loving and comforting. She is truly a joy!

I think that I love my dog as I love anyone in my family. It sounds silly but honestly, why do we love somebody? Not for sharing the same blood or for being of the same species. That would sound even more silly. This dog actually saved my life and I really cannot repay him, ever. He never angered me or did anything to upset me on purpose. he never talked behind my back and he always listens when I talk to him. I am not trying to be funny here, more like making a point. I love this dog more than I love some people. Well, more than I love most people actually, if I think about it, and yes I would rather sacrifice some people if I had to make choice.

I don't have children and so my dogs are like my small kids. They accompany me in whatever I do in the house, and I spend enough time and money for them. I love them very much

I would gladly say MUCH. They are not just my friends, they are my family. They are always there whenever I'm sad. They are always ready to listen even if they don't understand you. Your presence is enough to make them happy and they can make me happy if they are with me. They can ease my pain and stress. That is why I love so much my pets. 😀

"Dogs are mans best friend" it is a quote that gives me a heartfelt. I love my dog very much. I love her because she loves me unconditionally. dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. People leave you but your dog can't.

I agree with you. Dogs really are a part of our families too. We do everything to pamper them as well. My mom who was a dog lover too would extra mile whenever our dogs gets sick and such. We do vaccinate them as well in order to maintain their health too. In terms of food, we always serves them cooked and nutritious food.

I read an article that dogs can experience stresses too and by actually petting them calms their system especially when they have a bad day. Every night, as part of my routine, I always massage our dogs as well. This surely help them love you more and stick with you.

Dog`s are man best friends. Every time our dog gets a flu, we try to reach a doctor as fast as we can. We treat them as our part of our lives. They made us happy when we are bored. They are a special animal that makes your stress relieve. When I go home, I saw there cute faces that they want to play with us. Dogs are like humans, they have emotions, that humans felt too. They have health problems that humans have too. Pets are adorable that was connected to our lives.
