Hi, guys, my boyfriend and I would like to expand our family and are interested in adopting a puppy.
We currently live in China, and one of the most popular dogs is this teddy bear lookalike. I tried asking the name of the breed, but get answers that translate to the teddy bear.
I would like to learn more about this breed before I adopt. So far, I know that they are calm, often quiet dogs, which will be quite a contrast to my active Samoyed.
If anyone recognizes it, please let me know.
From what I'm finding in China they actually call it a teddy bear. It can be one of three breeds. Shihpoo, poochon, or zuchon. Sometimes a combination of all of those breeds. I found a page with all kinds of information about this cutie, I'll post below. I hope this helps!

Thank you, I was a bit confused because when I used to look up teddy bear, it showed me another white dog, so this link clarified it for me. How cute is that though, a dog breed called teddy bear?
Wow! That's a cute dog. Its called Shih Tzu or Chrysanthemum Dog. A toy dog breed. They have an amazingly healthy life span... 10- 16 years, alright, I want one, and I want one now!
You guys are right. The names keep getting cuter! Toy poodle gave me the exact results. They are seriously so cute. I just read some information about them and found out that they do not shed so much which makes them an excellent breed for people with allergies.
That's definitely a toy poodle! They are such cute little furballs. My aunt had a male and female, it seems like they were pretty easy to keep track of, and take care of. They can be pretty fierce yippers though. My aunts' were always barking at something, even if they didn't see or hear anything, I guess they just wanted to make noise. Other than that they were super sweet, and very cuddly! 🙂
