My dogs are hyper like that sometimes. Lily goes nuts after having a bath (which are daily now since she gets dirty after walks) if she's not dried off completely.
Goodness, how adorable. My grandma's dachshund used to do the same thing before he passed away. Every time I'd visit, he'd jump and run and beg me to chase him. Then I'd have to pick him up so he could slobber me.
