These are the steps I do:

I go to the treat basket (He recognises it) to entice him to come
I will hold a treat in one hand and then say a word
Most of the time he just keeps going after the treat
I will repeat the word a few times
For example if the trick is "paw", I will take his paw to touch my hand.
Then I'll repeat the word a few more times and demonstrate it to him again.
He doesn't seem to understand this and has no reaction to my words.
If I don't give him the treat at the end of a short failed session, he'll jump around and bark at me till i give him the treat. His barking is very loud!

I think I'm doing something wrong, any advice?
