Have you trained your dog to use a bell to let you know when it wants to go outside?
My neighbors used that method and it worked really well. The first time I heard the dog ring the bell, I thought she was simply playing, until my neighbor explained what it was for. I was really impressed!
I can't say I have ever trained a dog to use a bell before to let us know they needed to be outside. I always remember my grandma's dog would just sit near the back door and wait to be let out, he was so patient and never made a sound just waited. It is a good idea though to do something like that so they have a way to alert you if you are busy and may not notice that they are waiting.

No, I haven't bothered about using this training technique for my dogs. I'm not sure if they would be able to learn it faster.
How long did it take your dogs to master using the door bell? If you can share any tips on how you taught them, I will be glad.
