I heard a while ago that white dogs are prone to illness. How true is this? I just want to know before I go looking for another dog.

If it is, it's the first I've heard. I have a white dog and not experienced any health issues so far. He's 7.

It's the first I have heard that white dogs are prone to illnesses. I know some animals that are white are prone to illnesses, for example, my daughter had guinea pigs and they had two babies one of them was white which made her an albino guinea pig and they tend to not live very long and end up with illnesses but I can't say I have heard that about white dogs.
