Growing up our dogs were kept outside. They were hearty breeds though. My dog barely lasts 10 minutes outside and wipes his paws and begs for brushing when he comes back inside. I couldn't imagine making him live outside.
We always kept out dogs outside. They have a big kennel. It's like they have their own house. But occasionally we allow them inside. And they wreak havoc whenever they are allowed to go in. My goodness! My mom's dog loves to sleep on her bed and it's sometimes frustrating because after her romp on the bed, the sheets would smell like a wet-dog. 😉
I keep my dog in the house and he sleeps by my bed. As you can see by my Avatar photo, he sometimes likes to jump on the bed. He is only allowed to do this after he comes back from getting his hair done at the groomer's. He sleeps in the room and then walks to the kitchen to get some water whenever he gets too hot or thirsty.
My dogs are kept outside, they have plenty of room to run around, hide, and explore as it is a big yard. They also have plenty of shadow and places to lay down and relax. Once in a while I let them come in inside the house.
Just bear in mind, even if your dogs have a big yard, you still need to walk them everyday, they will not excercise and burn all that acumulated energy by their own, they need to explore all those new sights and scents from the street.
Technically not my own dog, but there's one living in my condominium which we took care of all together, and he lived in a kernel in the parking lot. He had a lot of free space, but we still brought him in someone's house when it rained too much. He preferred to stay outside, though.
However, if I had one, I'd never let him/her sleep outside. The only thought breaks my heart.
I let my dogs wander around the inside of the house and they have their own room where they sleep. They are well-trained and don't destroy or litter inside the house
I would rather say both. My pet dog like chiuahua are place inside my house. They are the one that I can play with my younger brother. They are less to care and maintenance that is why they are ok inside my house. The big ones are inside my house. They are the security of the family. I need them to alert us whenever there is someone lurking around our house. I love them both wether they are inside or outside dogs.
My dog are free to move anywhere, Inside or outside the house he can explore. But I train him not to poop inside. And I also clean my dog possible every day to prevent unnecessary elements in his body.
Inside. I always let them roam around the house, they are well disciplined anyway. Love seeing them free and playful all the time.
I am just letting my dog to roam around my house. They had the freedom to go inside or just stay outside. Usually they are staying outside in the morning and inside the house at the evening. Since they are a stray dogs before, I don't think that it would be comfortable for them to be inside a fence or to be lace. So I retain their freedom to roam, but not on the streets anymore.
I leave my dog sometimes in her doghouse or sometimes i keep her in my room.i keep her in my room when she was sick or she was afraid of thunder and fireworks outside.
It depends on how big your dog is, when your dog is cute as baby, you can keep the dog inside your house with a little couch. When your dog is like a Labrador makes sure to build him a neat dog house outside to make sure it will not get him a cold by night. Over all make your dog comfortable in your home as is like a family member.
I keep my 2 dogs inside our house. They have a comfortable place to stay and sleep inside.I don't leave them outside because they are like human to me that needs care and protection.
My dog stays in the same house with me. I can't be comfortable with leaving my dog to stay outside of the house.
The only difference is that my dog have his own bed in the house where he sleeps but he gets into my bed whenever he wants.
It's going to be wickedness on my part not to keep my dogs inside the house. Dogs deserves to be treated well and being in the house is one of the best ways of doing that.
I can never have peace of mind when my dog is sleeping or staying outside unless he's on security duty.
