I have thee and seriously considering more. At what point does it become too many dogs? I would probably go to five, maximum.
I would say somewhere around the 148 mark. I have had my dog for three years and I'm already considering another. I think when it gets to a point you cant afford vet bills or food then you should stop.
I suppose it depends on the size of your home too. I couldn't have more than one in my tiny apartment.
Everything depends on being able to take adequate care of the dogs. If you can take care of 10 dogs probably and provide for them 100%, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I completely agree with you on this one. The size of your home and also how rich you are to be able to take good care of them is very important. You can't live in a room apartment and have more than one dog.

I also have 5 dogs at the moment. I'm still considering getting one more to make it 6 and that's the maximum I can take in and care for. It's all about being able to take care of them very well. If you can't, it's better to have just a dog.
If you are capable of taking care of as many dogs as possible, you can do that. Once you have enough space for them to use and enough resources to care for them, it's all good.
When you have too many dogs that you can't take care of, then it's too much to have such number of dogs.
Having 2 dogs is more than enough for me. I can't have more than 2 dogs because my house is too small to house us all.
It really does depend on your personal circumstances, how much time you have to dedicate to the dogs you choose to have in your care, and how much space you have for them to live as well. You have to understand that dogs they not only need space as some can grow to be quite big but they also need walks and attention as well. If you are able to give all that then only you know how many you would be able to cope with.
For me, keeping only two dogs is more than enough for me. It's not that I can't keep 3 or 4 and take care of them by feeding them well but I won't have the time to show them more care that's different from feeding them well.

I also have two dogs as well. I can't have more than two of them because it's going to be very difficult for me to take care of them. I know some people who keep up to 5 dogs and it's because they can afford taking all of them in and give them a good life.
For me, one or two dogs is enough for me. It can pass that two and I can add extra one on top that two. I am good with one, when I need to make it two can be when I feel like I need more companion. Our house is enough to accommodate as many as but I prefer to keep one or two to avoid difficulty in training them.
There is no amount of dogs that is too many as far as I'm concerned because as long as you can be able to take very good care of them and make sure that having a lot of them doesn't interfere with your personal life with other things you have to do.
