Hi guys, i use tap water when bathing my dog. I notice that sometimes my dog shivers a lot during bathing. Is that normal? Do water temperature affects our dogs during bathing? If so what is the ideal water temperature for our dogs? Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

How hot do you have the water currently and do you have any heating in your bathroom or the area where you bathe your dog?

I know that during the hotter months it is wise to use room temperature water or even lukewarm water but in winter, it's wise to use warm water due to the lower temperatures.

It's very normal for dogs to shiver during bathing even our dog does that when the water is the ideal temperature for her. Water temperature can affect a dog's comfort and safety during bathing. The ideal water is from 27°C - 32°C for dogs with sensitive skin.
