I am not aware whether there are professional pet groomers and if there aren't, there is need for them. It requires skill and a loving hand to groom the dog comfortably and satisfactorily. Is there certification for professional pet groomers and would you engage the services of one?
I think that some countries/states might have specific requirements in regards to training and certification. I used to take my dog to the professionals because it was a lot of work to groom her. It wasn't cheap though and sometimes their razors gave her razorburn so I was always hunting for a new groomer.
Most areas tend to have professional pet groomers, I know where I live we have them but they are not cheap to use. I used to use them when we had our dog and didn't mind paying their asking price as they were really good.
Anyone who wants to open a pet groomer business I believe does need a license as well as have taken a course for pet grooming.
Professional pet groomers are very nice if you can afford one. They know how to handle dogs and it saves time and energy for the pet owners. The only problem is that their price is too costly and not all pet owners can afford it.
