It started when we rescued a puppy, he was already sick when we adopted him but that didn't stop us from loving him and then that was maybe what triggered us to fell in love with dogs even more. The rest of the fury babies followed. Some are old unwanted and sick dogs on a different breeds. The latest member of our family is a 2 year old St. Bernard (We adopted her from a family that doesn't want her anymore) He's just so playful even though her legs are weak that our old princess type shih tzu (rescued from the street by my father) was at first intimidated but now they got along and they look cute and adorable together. :) Our home is just small but that didn't stop us from sharing the limited space that we have to them.

With the flood of heartwarming dog rescues I've come to witness and shed a tear, this story for me, is by far the best rescue story that has greatly impacted me as an animal lover and as a person who struggles in life.

This dog was found by stray animal control and was thought to be around four months old. His face at the time looked swollen and suspected that it was because of an animal bite. So they treated him and initially improved but then later on Squish cannot open its jaw and his face become sunken. It was later on decided to put Squish on the euthanasia list to prevent more suffering. Prior to euthanasia, he was brought up to another specialist and was discovered that his condition is most probably brought up to him intentionally by a strong blow in his head and that he needed numerous surgeries.

He met his human, Dr. Danielle Boyd, who is having her internship at the time and she immediately connected with Squish. That day, she brought her home just to give him a break from all the meds and cages he's been forever. According to Dr. Boyd, she realized that while holding him that night, she couldn't let her be euthanized and made a decision to keep Squish. And that was the beginning of their journey together. Squish had several operations along the way and now she was able to pick a tennis ball!

It was truly an amazing story about someone who has faced so much in his life that never gives up and at the same time, a truly amazing story to know that there are the angels that will help you along the way. For me, Squish and his human is the perfect example that even though life was hard, it's not always that way and if you're just willing, you can rise up better and stronger.

You can follow Squish on Instagram apupnamedsquish and see the semi colon dog. ;)

its the monsoon season in my part of the world and here monsoon means a heavy downpour causing floods.

In a flooded area of my city, I found a dog who was cornered by water and pulled it with the help of a rope to safety.

However, the shivering of the dog just wont stop. I have dried it up and also, as per the vet given some proper medication to provide proper heat, but the shivering wont stop and I reckon its not due to cold as it just shivers when I go near it.

How to stop it from getting scared so much from anyone and everyone?

I have issues with some of our neighbors particularly the car mechanic. He has 2 cages in the vacant lot beside his property. He uses that vacant lot as parking area of the cars that he fixes so it is like his open garage. And to guard the cars, he's got 2 dogs in cages. Fine. However, when the weather is hot, those dogs are surely uncomfortable and there is the probability of a heat stroke. In fact, we have seen different dogs in those 2 cages because the dogs do not last for a year, they die for whatever reason and the mechanic would again get a replacement.

That mechanic was the one who gave us Pipoy, our hyperactive pug. That is why I cannot report that mechanic.
